BUENOS AIRES, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Platense scored either side of halftime to continue their impressive recent form with a 2-0 away win over Arsenal Sarandi in Argentina's Primera Division on Sunday.
Sasha Marcich put the visitors ahead just before halftime when he finished coolly on the counterattack and Franco Baldassarra doubled the advantage by slotting home after combining with Ignacio Schor.
It was Platense's third win from their past four games and lifted them to 12th in the 28-team Primera Division standings.
Arsenal Sarandi remained last with just 17 points from 21 outings so far.
In other Primera Division fixtures on Sunday, Sarmiento won 4-1 at home to Atletico Tucuman and Colon drew 1-1 at Rosario Central.
