The gentle sound of clear water gurgling and the graceful swaying of vibrant green bamboos create a tranquil ambiance. As the whistle resounds, the small sightseeing train embarks on its journey through Lujia Village in Anji County, southeast China's Zhejiang Province.
This charming village is famous for its 4.5-kilometer narrow-gauge railway, featuring a delightful train with four or five carriages. Cruising at a leisurely speed of under 10 kilometers per hour, the train meanders through 18 local family farms. Each farm showcases a unique theme and encompasses a variety of offerings such as blossoming flowers, serene bamboo gardens, and flourishing vegetable fields.
Lujia Village has undergone a remarkable transformation, aligning with the goal of promoting the integrated development of leisure agriculture and rural tourism. It has evolved from a previously impoverished village with beautiful natural surroundings marred by a polluted environment into a true countryside haven and a scenic wonderland where the entire village itself serves as a picturesque attraction.
