Achievements of the 7th China-South Asia Expo in numbers

Taking the theme “solidarity and cooperation for common development”, the 7th China-South Asia Expo (hereafter referred to as “the Expo”) and the 27th China Kunming Import & Export Fair successfully concluded on August 20, 2023. The five-day event has not only witnessed remarkable achievements in economic and trade exchanges and cooperation but deepened friendly relations among the attending parties.

In recent years, thanks to the advancements of the Belt and Road Initiative, China and countries in South Asia have deepened practical cooperation in a range of areas, with remarkable results in cooperation on trade and investment. In 2022, the trade volume between China and countries in South Asia totaled 197.4 billion USD, reaching a new all-time high.
