Persistently promoting the building of a global community of shared future

This year marks the 10th anniversary of President Xi Jinping's proposal to build a community of shared future for mankind. In order to comprehensively introduce the ideological connotation and vivid practice of building a global community of shared future, enhance the understanding of the international community, forge a broad consensus, and better build a global community of shared future hand in hand with other countries, the Chinese government issued a white paper titled "A Global Community of Shared Future: China's Proposals and Actions" on September 26. This is an important document that systematically elaborates the background, core principles, theoretical origin and vivid practice of the concept of building a global community of shared future.

Creating a roadmap for building a community of shared future for mankind

The white paper reflects the important results of the study of Xi Jinping's diplomatic thought. Building a global community of shared future is the core concept of Xi Jinping's diplomatic thought and the overall goal of great power diplomacy with Chinese characteristics. The simultaneous release of the White Paper in eight languages, including Chinese, English, French, Russian, German, Spanish, Arabic and Japanese, has facilitated the direct and timely understanding of the common cause of building a global community of shared future by billions of people around the globe with different cultures and historical backgrounds, and is bound to have a good international effect, which will be conducive to the pooling of strong synergies for building a global community of shared future and leading the international community to create a better future.

Far-reaching significance for the promotion of world peace and development

The building of a global community of shared future is in line with the trend of development and progress of the times, responds to the universal aspirations of the people of all countries, brings benefits to the people of the world, and is a precious solution that China has contributed to the world in the midst of chaos and turmoil, which is of far-reaching significance in safeguarding world peace, promoting common development and advancing the progress of mankind.

We will provide Chinese proposals to answer the questions of the world and the questions of the times. At present, interconnections and interdependence among countries are more frequent and closer than ever before, and the historical trend of peace, development, and win-win cooperation is unstoppable. However, at the same time, the deep-rooted contradictions in global development have been highlighted, anti-globalization, protectionism and xenophobic tendencies have intensified, bullying and zero-sum games and other hegemonic and bullying practices have caused serious harm, and non-traditional security threats such as climate change and cybersecurity have continued to spread. The building of a global community of shared future, which contains the essence of traditional Chinese culture, draws on the achievements of outstanding human civilizations, and matches the ultimate pursuit of peace and development by different civilizations, is the right way on earth that is committed to leading the world forward and pushing the wheels of history towards a bright future.

Regardless of how the international conditions change, China will steadfastly pursue an independent foreign policy of peace and is committed to expanding the points of convergence of its interests with those of other countries. With a more far-sighted vision, more open-mindedness and more tolerance, China will actively participate in the reform and construction of the global governance system, and jointly promote the realization of the beautiful vision of building a global community of shared future.
