Folk artists in E China's Shandong Province hasten to meet need for pepper dust new year paintings acorss China

Photo taken on January 5, 2024 shows folk artists hastening to finish customized pepper dust new year paintings in Jiangzhuang Town of Gaomi City, east China's Shandong Province. As the new year draws near, artists of this traditional craft in Gaomi Town are working around the clock to meet the need of customers cross China. Pepper dust new year painting is a Chinese intangibal heritage that can be dated back to over 500 years ago. The artists first sketch a draft with charcoal bars and rub the sketch onto papers.
