Watch as members of the Liuxing Street Ethnic Solidarity Accordion Band perform at an accordion museum on Liuxing Street in Yining City, Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. They are performing "Birch Forest", a song by Chinese singer Pu Shu.
Liuxing Street is a famous tourist destination in Yining City, and many tourists drop by to listen to accordion performances at the accordion museum. The museum was constructed by the Yining municipal government in 2019, with an investment of over 3.6 million yuan (around 532,000 U.S. dollars). With an area of 1,200 square meters, the museum now houses more than 800 accordions from over 20 countries.
