Floodgates opened to release floodwaters across China

Rivers and reservoirs in Guangxi, Hunan and Jiangxi have been hit by continuous rainfall, with water levels rising. In order to ensure the safety of the flood, all localities quickly launched emergency plans and implemented effective flood discharge measures. Guangxi opened the floodgate in time to scientifically dispatch the reservoir flow to ensure the safety of the reservoir; Hunan strengthens water conservancy project dispatching and embankment inspection to improve flood control capacity; Jiangxi increased the intensity of reservoir flood discharge, ensure the smooth flow of rivers, and organize rescue and disaster relief in time. The timely implementation of these measures effectively dealt with the challenges brought by rainfall and ensured the safety of people's lives and property and the stable operation of flood control facilities.
