In Pics: Ulan Mod grassland, an enchanting tapestry in N China’s Inner Mongolia

The Ulan Mod grassland in northern China is a breathtaking landscape that spans 11 million mu (about 733,333 hectares), adorned with lush grasslands and vast forests covering 6 million mu (about 400,000 hectares). Over 120 rivers meander through this verdant tapestry, creating a picturesque scene.

This poetic landscape is situated on the border between China and Mongolia, where the Manchurian township of Horqin Right Front Banner meets Mongolia, forming a unique community. Across the vast grasslands of Inner Mongolia, where rippling green fields meet expansive forests, stand the devoted guardians of the border.
