Senior CPC official stresses studying, implementing guiding principles from key Party plenum

BEIJING, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Chen Wenqing on Sunday underscored the importance of studying and implementing the guiding principles from the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.

Chen, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks while presiding over a meeting of the commission.

The resolution of the CPC Central Committee on further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization, which was adopted at the plenary session, serves as a programmatic document guiding deepening reform on the new journey, according to the meeting.

It was stressed that judicial, procuratorial and public security organs should unswervingly push forward reform in depth and accurately understand the decisions and plans in the resolution for refining the system of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics and modernizing China's national security system and capacity.

The meeting also called for efforts to grasp the new tasks and requirements of political and legal reform, formulate specific reform measures and plans, and ensure their resolute implementation. ■
