TOKYO, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- Unemployment rate in Japan increased in July from a month earlier, the government said in a report on Friday.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the seasonally adjusted jobless rate stood at 2.7 percent, up from 2.5 percent a month earlier.
Meanwhile, the job availability ratio rose 0.01 points from June to 1.24, indicating that there were 124 available jobs for every 100 people seeking work, data from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare showed.
Analysts here pointed out that the employment environment in July deteriorated, but suggested that the fluidity of the labor market might be increasing due to an increase in voluntary resignation cases among the unemployed. ■
