On September 5, during the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit in Beijing, Senegal's Foreign Minister Yassine Fall highlighted the importance of the China-Africa partnership in a joint press conference. She emphasized that China not only seeks to develop itself but also aims to support Africa's growth, promoting universal well-being and the modernization of economies across nations.
Fall praised the partnership, noting that Africa has vast resources, which through cooperation with China, can be better utilized within the continent to add value and drive industrialization. This, she said, will create employment opportunities for the continent’s young population, with Senegal’s median age being just 19 years. She emphasized the mutually beneficial nature of the relationship, calling it a "win-win" and highlighting China's role in offering expertise, private sector support, and valuable lessons for Africa’s development.
