Shanghai's Olympic athletes feted at Disney Resort

Shanghai Disney Resort on Saturday invited around 100 members of the Shanghai, China Delegation to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, hosting a celebratory homecoming at the theme park.

During a welcome ceremony, 13 Olympic athletes, including two-time Olympic table tennis champion Wang Liqin and Fan Zhendong, boxing champion Wu Yu, swimming champion Qin Haiyang and tennis silver medalist Zhang Zhizhen, showed up alongside Disney characters, greeted by cheers from park guests.

"This homecoming of Shanghai-based Olympians has become a beloved tradition since Shanghai Disney Resort's grand opening," said Joe Schott, president and general manager of Shanghai Disney Resort, during the ceremony.
