In early August, the "Xinjiang: Always More to Discover" event invited Turkish media professionals to explore Xinjiang. Using their cameras, they captured the journey and created a series of micro-documentaries titled "The Endless Journey of the Silk Road: Xinjiang."

Set in the heart of the Tianshan Mountains, this episode explores Nalati, one of Xinjiang's most stunning tourist destinations, often referred to as the "Switzerland of the East." With its breathtaking landscapes of deep blue skies, verdant meadows, and snow-capped peaks, Nalati is a place where the rich equestrian shepherd culture has thrived for thousands of years.

At an average elevation of 1,800 meters and spanning over 1,848 square kilometers, Nalati offers visitors a range of outdoor adventures, from horseback riding to hiking and camping. As the region with the highest concentration of Kazakh people, it is often seen as an "open-air museum," reflecting the traditional lifestyle of this community.

Each destination in Nalati has its own significance, from the awe-inspiring Tianjie Tai, where the valley and sky meadows meet, to the Tianmu Tai region, where Kazakh shepherds bring their herds every summer. Visitors to the Hainsei Folklore Village are greeted by locals with traditional dances and intricately embroidered nomadic tents, showcasing the deep cultural heritage of the Kazakh people.

More than just a scenic marvel, Nalati offers an immersive experience in China’s multicultural landscape.
