2024 marks the 30th anniversary of China’s full access to the global internet and the 10th anniversary of the country's cyber development strategy. In this episode, we invited Koh King Kee, President of Centre for New Inclusive Asia in Malaysia, to join us on an Interview Series titled "A New Era of Internet".
Since gaining full access to the global internet in 1994, China has evolved from being a "user" to an "innovator" of the Internet, and has well supported its digital economy development through data generation, talent cultivation, and construction of digital infrastructure.
China's technological edge in areas such as 5G, Beidou Navigation, and quantum computing has not only propelled its own growth but also been well-positioned to drive the digital transformation of Asia-Pacific region.
