Kong explained that the Ministry of Rural Development prioritizes poverty reduction through integrated rural development projects, implemented with substantial support from China. These initiatives include rural road construction, improvements in water supply and sanitation, and healthcare advancements under the Mekong-Lancang project, all designed to enhance the quality of life for Cambodia's rural communities.
Kong highlighted the critical role of Chinese support in advancing Cambodia's poverty alleviation efforts. He emphasized that the enduring and evolving "diamond friendship" between Cambodia and China has been pivotal to these achievements. Looking ahead, he expressed optimism about continued collaboration between the two countries. This enduring partnership underscores the shared commitment of both nations to fostering sustainable development and prosperity.
