SINGAPORE, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's manufacturing production rose 8.5 percent year-on-year in November, following a 1.2 percent growth in October, according to data released by the Economic Development Board Thursday.
Electronics led the increase with a 26.2 percent year-on-year growth last month, supported by robust production in semiconductors, computer peripherals and data storage, and infocomm and consumer electronics segments.
The production of precision engineering also recorded growth in November. Meanwhile, the output of chemicals, transport engineering, general manufacturing, and biomedical manufacturing decreased.
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, manufacturing output decreased 0.4 percent in November.
