SEOUL, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Six people were killed and seven others injured after fire broke out at a construction site in South Korea's southeastern port city of Busan on Friday, according to multiple media outlets.
The fire broke out at about 10:51 a.m. local time (0151 GMT) at a hotel construction site in Busan, some 325 km southeast of the capital Seoul.
Around 100 workers at the construction site were evacuated, while 14 who fled to the rooftop were rescued by helicopters.
The fire was believed to have started from insulation materials loaded near a swimming pool on the first floor. The fire authorities dispatched 127 fire engines and 352 firefighters to the scene. ■
