China’s whole-process people’s democracy embodies the principle that democracy is about the will of the people, with each country advancing it in its own way, according to Peter Katjavivi, Speaker of the National Assembly of Namibia. Emphasizing that democracy is not exclusive to any one nation, he highlighted China’s unique model, which ensures public participation at all stages of governance. Reflecting on his experiences in China since the 1960s, he noted the country’s extraordinary transformation, attributing it to the determination of the people and the systematic leadership that facilitated development. “If we keep close to our people, we have nothing to fear,” he stated, underscoring that China’s democratic governance aligns closely with its national conditions, offering valuable insights for the world.
