SHIJIAZHUANG, May 17 (Xinhua) -- Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Cai Qi has emphasized the need to adhere to a problem-oriented approach and strict standards in the ongoing Party-wide education campaign to implement the Party central leadership's "eight-point decision" on improving work conduct.
Cai, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, made these remarks during an investigation tour in Tangshan in north China's Hebei Province on Friday and Saturday.
During the tour, Cai visited townships, villages, sub-districts and communities, while he also spent time at local businesses and primary-level Party organizations.
Integrated efforts comprising study, inspection and correction should be in place during the campaign, Cai said. He also called for targeted guidance tailored to different levels, regions, sectors and industries to ensure both the depth and impact of the campaign.
He stressed that as this education campaign extends to the grassroots level, it must be closely aligned with realities, and primary-level Party members and officials should integrate their efforts with key tasks such as advancing full rural revitalization and strengthening primary-level governance, while further enhancing their sense of responsibility and commitment to action.
For enterprises, the campaign should be closely integrated with production and business operations -- ensuring coordinated advancement on both fronts, Cai said.
Noting the importance of soliciting public opinion in problem-solving, Cai called for resolute and rigorous action in dealing with problems, while stressing that problems must be addressed as they are found, with particular attention paid to tackling the most prominent and pressing issues.
Launched in mid-March this year, the education campaign is scheduled to run through late July 2025.
