The 21st China International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) was held in east China’s Shenzhen from May 22 to 26. This year’s fair, themed “Innovation Leading Trends, Creativity Illuminating Life,” saw a substantial expansion in scale, enriched content, and elevated quality, which underscores China’s commitment to cultural innovation.
As China’s premier cultural‐industry expo, ICIF continuously promotes the deep integration of culture with technology, fashion, and advanced manufacturing, serving as a pivotal showcase of Chinese cultural soft power and new quality productive forces. Eight exhibition halls—comprising three comprehensive and five specialized pavilions—featured over 120,000 cultural products and 4,000+ investment and financing projects, facilitating precise industry matchmaking and global market access.
At the Fashion · Lifestyle · Cultural Tech & Finance Pavilion, designer brand “Suoyue” presented a runway show to spotlight China’s original design prowess. Drawing on elements of modern oriental aesthetics and urban lifestyles, the show highlighted the growing presence of domestic design in China’s fashion scene.
In recent years, Shenzhen has elevated fashion to a strategic emerging industry through targeted support policies, international exchange platforms, and cluster development. The prominence of fashion at ICIF not only exemplifies national strategies for Chinese‐brand empowerment, cultural confidence, and innovation‐driven growth, but also offers an expanded global stage for China’s fashion labels to flourish.
