YANGON, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar attracted over 129 million U.S. dollars in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first five months of the 2025-26 fiscal year, according to figures released by the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) on Thursday.
From April to August this year, 32 enterprises invested in the country, the DICA said.
During the period, the manufacturing sector attracted the most FDI with over 93 million dollars, followed by the oil and gas sector with 21 million dollars, and the power sector with over 9 million dollars, it said.
China, Singapore, and Thailand are the largest investors in Myanmar during the period, it added. ■
