A drone photo taken on Sept. 16, 2025 shows workers carrying out conductor stringing tasks for the Gansu-Zhejiang ±800 kV ultra-high voltage (UHV) direct current transmission project in Nanling County, Wuhu, east China's Anhui Province. The Anhui section of this power transmission project linking northwest China's Gansu Province with east China's Zhejiang Province has recently entered the conductor stringing phase.

The 2,370-kilometer power line starts from Wuwei, Gansu Province and ends in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province. When in operation, it will facilitate the transmission of clean energy from northwest China and ease the power shortage in east China. (Xinhua/Liu Junxi)
