Christine Arab, Regional Director of UN Women Asia and the Pacific, commended on China's initiatives to promote women's rights and development at the 2025 Global Leaders' Meeting on Women, highlighting efforts to close the digital gender gap, with women in agribusiness using digital tools to market their products and shape their online presence.
She noted with over 55% of internet-based businesses owned by women, China's incentives are driving greater female participation and leadership in the workforce.
