In the 1970s, thousands of Chinese experts and workers joined the people of Tanzania and Zambia to build the Tanzania–Zambia Railway (TAZARA), an enduring symbol of China–Africa friendship. Among them was Long Zhongsheng, who gave his life on the frontline of construction.
More than fifty years later, his son Long Yahui travels to Africa to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for TAZARA's revitalization project and to visit the martyrs' memorial park where his father rests.
