Autumn paints wetland forest red in C China's Wuhan

Photo taken on December 11, 2025, shows more than ten thousand pond cypress trees in Zhangdu Lake Wetland Forest Park in Xinzhou District of Wuhan, central China's Hubei Province. Turning from green to red, those pond cypress tress create a vibrant, picturesque landscape that attracts many visitors. According to park officials, the 600-mu stand of American pond cypress was first planted on a trial basis in 1973. The trees now reach over 20 meters in height, forming a unique "water forest" where woodlands meet wetlands and egrets soar. (Wang Jiang/Guangming Pictures)
