China's Central Archives has released a batch of declassified documents provided by Russia, exposing new evidence of the crimes committed by Japan's wartime Unit 731, said Zhao Cong, head of Department for International Cooperation of China's Central Archives.
The materials include Soviet interrogation records and crime reports related to the Khabarovsk War Crimes Trials, covering the period from 1939 to 1950. The records reveal the identification of more than 200 individuals linked to Unit 731, with 12 key war criminals brought to public trial. The documents also detail human experimentation and biological warfare activities, highlighting the importance of preserving historical truth and preventing the resurgence of militarism worldwide.
