HANOI, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam will implement a scoring-based evaluation system for civil servants starting in 2026, under a newly issued decree, local newspaper Tuoi Tre reported Friday.

According to the report, Vietnamese civil servants will be assessed on a 100-point scale, including 30 points for general criteria, such as adherence to Party guidelines, administrative discipline and workplace conduct, and the remaining 70 points for fulfilling assigned duties.

The performance score will be calculated based on the quantity, quality and timeliness of assigned tasks.

Civil servants scoring 90 points or higher will be rated as having completed their duties excellently, while those with evaluation scores below 50 points will be deemed not to have completed their duties. ■
