China’s installed capacity of wind power has ranked 1st in the world for 15 consecutive years, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a regular news briefing on Jan. 22, 2026.
Guo noted that China has developed the world's most complete policy system on reducing carbon emissions, as well as the world’s largest renewable energy system, and actively shares its achievements in green development.
Guo said that as a responsible major developing country, China stands ready to work with all sides to continue to promote global green and low-carbon transition, and jointly build a clean and beautiful world.
