Spring Festival flower markets flourish across China

As the Spring Festival approaches, the festive atmosphere is growing stronger, with New Year flower markets heating up nationwide and supplies remaining ample. From flower-growing bases in Binzhou, east China's Shandong Province, to bustling flower markets in Shanghai, residents across the country are purchasing brightly colored flowers with auspicious meanings to decorate their homes for the holiday. At planting bases, flower farmers in Lianyungang, east China's Jiangsu Province, are harvesting and packaging cut lilies, moth orchids in Huaihua, central China's Hunan Province, are coming into bloom, and tens of thousands of flowers in greenhouses in Changji, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, are ready for market. From north to south, growers are busy with cultivation and supply, ensuring vibrant New Year flowers reach households on time, adding both festive cheer and a vivid picture of well-stocked markets ahead of the holiday.
