BEIJING — During an interview with Guangming Online, Eduardo Santander, Executive Director of the European Travel Commission, said that China's economic growth continues to create new opportunities for European tourism.
China remains one of Europe's most important source markets for travelers, with strong pent-up demand for outbound tourism. Santander said that ETC has a promising outlook for this year's Spring Festival, as they foresee healthy growth in both visitor numbers and travel quality.
He highlighted tourism as increasingly serving as a bridge for cultural exchange, trade, and mutual understanding between China and Europe, and emphasized China's role in sharing development opportunities with Europe through people-to-people exchanges.
