Herders graze sheep on early spring grassland in NW China's Gansu

In recent years, herders from Qilian County in Qinghai Province, located at the southern foot of the Qilian Mountains, have adopted a cross-regional grazing practice during winter and spring. By making use of abundant straw and forage resources in agricultural areas, they have pursued a path of ecological conservation, grassland restoration, and mutually beneficial agricultural and pastoral development.
