
In 2025, China's total retail sales of consumer goods reached 50,120.2 billion yuan, up by 3.7 percent over the previous year. An analysis on different areas showed that the retail sales of consumer goods in urban areas stood at 43,297.2 billion yuan, up by 3.6 percent, and that in rural areas reached 6,823.0 billion yuan, up by 4.1 percent.
The online retail sales of physical goods were 13,092.3 billion yuan, up by 5.2 percent over the previous year, accounting for 26.1 percent of the total retail sales of consumer goods.
