VIENTIANE, March 31 (Xinhua) -- The inaugural meeting of the Lao government's 10th-term cabinet opened on Monday to address key national priorities, focusing on delivering tangible results in response to mounting economic and fuel pressures.
The meeting, held in Lao capital Vientiane from Monday to Tuesday, was chaired by Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, with deputy prime ministers and cabinet members in attendance, local news website Lao Phattana News reported on Tuesday.
During the meeting, cabinet members reviewed a draft work plan for 2026-2030, examined a list of national projects for the next five years, and discussed plans to promote greater use of electric vehicles and alternative energy.
Domestic issues such as digitalization, human resource development, and administrative bottlenecks were also identified as priorities requiring urgent attention, said the report. ■
