WASHINGTON, March 31 (Xinhua) -- A 15-year-old student fatally shot himself after shooting a teacher at a Texas high school on Monday, U.S. media reported, citing authorities.
The shooting occurred at Hill Country College Preparatory High School in Bulverde, a city located in Comal County in Texas, with no other injuries reported, according to the Associated Press.
The student shot the teacher before turning the gun on himself, said Comal County Sheriff Mark Reynolds, adding that investigators were working to understand the relationship between the student and the teacher and looking into how the firearm was obtained.
Class will be canceled at the school on Tuesday, and counselors will be available to meet with families, Principal Julie Wiley said in a statement. ■
