On April 13, the sixth China International Consumer Products Expo opened in Haikou, capital of south China’s Hainan Province. Chinese motorcycle manufacturer ZXMOTO made its debut at the event, attracting visitors to stop by and take pictures.
In the World Supersport (WorldSSP) category at the Portuguese round of the Superbike World Championship (WSBK) held last month, French rider Valentin Debise rode a ZXMOTO 820RR-RS to claim a historic double victory, marking a breakthrough for a Chinese motorcycle brand in the top-tier competition. The triumph has boosted confidence in China’s motorcycle industry and is seen by analysts as marking a shift from contract manufacturing to homegrown innovation.
According to staff at the exhibition booth, after the wins, ZXMOTO has drawn increasing attention from enthusiasts, including foreign visitors. Through the expo, the company hopes to raise awareness of its brand and models at home and abroad, and will continue to step up efforts to expand into overseas markets.
