On May 12, in Caizhai Village, Shixiang Town, Xuchang City, Henan Province, State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company organized distribution network crews to install a No. 2 Caizhai agricultural drainage transformer and related equipment on the 10 kV branch line serving the Caizhai No. 2 agricultural drainage transformer district. The project includes a new 100 kVA transformer and 150 meters of new power lines, providing stable and reliable electricity for irrigating local high‑standard farmland and boosting farmers' confidence in a good harvest.

High‑standard farmland serves as the cornerstone of food security, and reliable electricity is the driving force behind its efficient operation. In 2026, Xuchang City will develop 300,000 mu of new high‑standard farmland, focusing on building high‑efficiency irrigation demonstration zones across 135 administrative villages in four counties (including Changge and Xiangcheng). As the supporting power provider for these projects, Xuchang Power Supply Company has allocated special funds to implement 40 supporting power infrastructure projects, ensuring sufficient electricity to safeguard stable yields and increased income, thereby building a solid power foundation for food security.

Given the fragmented nature of the projects and their wide geographical distribution, the company has adopted a coordinated city‑county approach to ensure smooth implementation. It proactively engages with relevant government departments, scientifically formulates work plans for supporting high‑standard farmland infrastructure, and precisely aligns power construction with farmland planning. Specialized teams have been set up for project management, material supply, and on‑site construction, with clearly defined roles and responsibilities. By deploying capable construction forces, the company is fully committed to advancing key projects, ensuring coherent coordination and orderly progress across the entire program.

To meet both quality and schedule targets, the company has established a regular consultation mechanism. It reports weekly on project progress, holds weekly coordination meetings on schedule, and focuses on resolving bottlenecks that hinder construction, thus opening a "fast track" for project delivery. At construction sites, the company strictly enforces whole‑process safety and quality control, steps up on‑site supervision of workmanship, and rigorously enforces three key checkpoints: equipment installation, workmanship standards, and acceptance testing. By refining construction plans and optimizing workflows, the company is fully dedicated to building "quality demonstration projects" for high‑standard farmland power facilities. These efforts effectively meet the diverse electricity needs for irrigation, drainage, and production, making reliable and sufficient power a solid guarantee for increasing farmers' income and boosting agricultural efficiency.
