
In the first four months of 2026, China's total goods imports and exports reached 16.23 trillion yuan ($2.24 trillion), up 14.9 percent year on year, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Monday.
Specifically, the total value of exports was 9,328.0 billion yuan, up by 11.3 percent, the total value of imports was 6,897.2 billion yuan, up by 20.0 percent, and that of general trade increased 8.5 percent year on year.
In the meantime, China's trade with Belt and Road partner countries grew 13.5 percent, while trade by private enterprises rose 15.9 percent. Exports of mechanical and electrical products increased 17.6 percent, said the administration.
