Zero Tariffs, Bigger Access: A new chapter in China-Africa trade

China expands zero-tariff treatment from May 1st, 2026 to all African countries with diplomatic ties, allowing a wide range of African goods to enter the Chinese market with reduced trade costs. The policy aims to expand market access, promote trade facilitation, and strengthen China–Africa economic cooperation.
