The closing ceremony of the 2026 Delegation of Young Leaders from Bangladesh to China was held in Beijing on June 30. In an exclusive interview with Guangming Online, Muhammad Mazedul Haque, a Research Officer at the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies, said he was impressed by China’s effective democratic system. It has supported remarkable progress in technological innovation and infrastructure development while offering valuable experience for countries including Bangladesh.
He also noted that Bangladesh could learn from the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, which involves local people in drafting local legislation and overseeing policy implementation. This experience is particularly valuable as Bangladesh seeks to update its relevant laws and policies.
