Tree-shaped water patterns emerge on Yellow River tidal flats

Photo taken on July 13, 2026 shows the water level dropping at the Pinglu County section in Yuncheng, north China's Shanxi Province, affected by water and sediment regulation of the Xiaolangdi and Sanmenxia reservoirs. The flowing water has carved crisscross branches across the tidal flats. Seen from a drone, the vein-like patterns resemble giant trees, forming a spectacular and unique landform.
