Wetland restoration continues at Hongze Lake in E China's Jiangsu

Photo taken on July 20, 2026 shows workers planting emergent aquatic vegetation, including reeds and cattails, in the restored area of Hongze Lake in Mudun Island Village, Bancheng Town, Sihong County, Suqian City, east China's Jiangsu Province. Through continued efforts to restore reclaimed lake areas and wetlands, the former aquaculture zone is gradually recovering its natural wetland ecosystem with cleaner waters and flourishing vegetation.
