Parliamentarians exchange views on advancing SDGs through cooperation

The 2026 Interregional Seminar on the Achievement of the SDGs is jointly organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the National People’s Congress (NPC) of China. The seminar has brought together selected parliaments from developing countries to discuss ways to accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through parliamentary cooperation.

From Aug. 25 to 26, participants engaged in discussions on pressing global issues, including artificial intelligence, climate governance and population development, as part of the programme. They exchanged views with their peers, discussed respective national practices, shared lessons learned and explored opportunities to enhance collaboration in advancing sustainable development for all.
