Beyond exports: How China's motor tricycles are building global partnerships

Chinese motor tricycles, widely known as "san beng zi", are gaining traction in overseas markets, offering a glimpse into how Chinese manufacturing is adapting to local needs and expanding international cooperation.

During the 2026 Global Mayors Dialogue · Luoyang, a reporter from Guangming Online visited LUOYANG SUMMIT HUAWIN MOTOR TRICYCLE CO., LTD. in Yanshi District, Luoyang City, a major hub for China's motor tricycle industry. The visit explored how the company is reaching global markets through customized products, technical support and cooperation with overseas partners on local assembly and manufacturing.
