The final competition of the 2nd International Collegiate Competition for Brain-Inspired Computing was successfully held in Tsinghua University
After that, Professor Shi Luping, the director of Center for Brain-Inspired Computing Research of Tsinghua University, delivered an academic report entitled "Brain-Inspired Computing for Artificial General Intelligence". Professor Shi emphasized that although current artificial intelligence has achieved great success in dealing with sufficient data, complete knowledge, deterministic problems, it is still incapable to deal with small sample, uncertain, dynamic and multi-system complex tasks. He remarked that brain-inspired computing, which combines the development of both neuroscience and computing technology, may be an effective way to develop artificial general intelligence to solve the complex tasks.
