Three Gorges Dam sees arrival of the Yangtze River’s first flood this year
On July 2 at 10 a.m., the first flood of Yangtze River this year arrived in Three Gorges Dam with a flow rate of 50,000 cubic meters of water per second. Since June 29, a daily discharge of 35,000 cubic meters of water per second from Three Gorges reservoir has been ordered to ease the flood’s impact on the lower reaches of Yangtze River.
