Special photography exhibiton themed with "56 Ethnic Groups Getting Prosperous Together"

On October 15th, a special photo exhibition themed with "Over the Years: 56 Ethnic Groups Getting Prosperous Together" jointly held by Guangming Daily and Guangming Online was on display at Shanhai Tower, the tallest building in China. The exhibiton is a highlight of the national touring exhibiton of China's excellent photographic works of poverty alleviation themed with "Solemn Commitment".

The year of 2020 is a year of resolute victory in building a well-off society in all respects and fighting against poverty. It is a great feat never seen in human history leading 56 ethnic groups toward prosperity. Some ethnic minorities have realized the "thousand-year leap" of entering a socialist society from primitive society or slave society.

In order to focus on reporting the magnificent photographic works and great achievements of 56 ethnic groups and regions in poverty alleviation, Guangming Daily and Guangming Online focused on planning a full-media coverage activity of "Over the Years: 56 Ethnic Groups Getting Prosperous Together", in various forms of micro-movies, short videos, drone aerial photography, VR panoramas, graphic reports and others.

In addition to the exhibition in Shanghai, the theme was also exhibited at the 3rd China (Rizhao) Photojournalism Week held during the national holiday this year, and was favored by visitors.

Xu Zugen, the president of the Photojournalist Society of China, said at the opening ceremony that the poverty alleviation photo exhibition fully demonstrated CPC's ruling concept of "putting people first".

The Shanghai Tower, located in Lujiazui, Pudong New Area, east China's Shanghai, is currently the tallest building in China. In recent years, it has cooperated with the Chinese Society of Photojournalism and Guangming Daily to jointly hold cultural activities to tell Shanghai stories, Chinese stories, and spread the voice of China. Shanghai is the first stop of the national touring exhibiton of China's excellent photographic works of poverty alleviation.
