2,000-yr-old barn excavated in Inner Mongolia
Photo taken on Nov.10, 2020 shows large scale ruins of an ancient barn discovered in Liangzi Village of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. It's believed to be the foundation of the barn dating back to the mid-to-late Western Han Dynasty, 2,000 years ago. The elevated deck is the largest individual rammed earth building of its kinds from Han Dynasty. The excavation is a joint effort of the regional research institute for cultural relics and archaeology and Sun Yat-sen University. (Ding Genhou/Guangming Picture)
