Spy thriller "Cliff Walkers" tops China box office for 5th day
BEIJING, May 8 (Xinhua) -- "Cliff Walkers," Chinese director Zhang Yimou's first foray into the spy genre, topped China's box office chart on Friday, according to data from the China Movie Data Information Network.
The movie raked in 37.1 million yuan (around 5.7 million U.S. dollars) on its eighth day of screening, accounting for around 41 percent of China's daily box-office sales which totaled 90.5 million yuan on Friday.
It was followed by crime thriller "Break Through the Darkness" finishing the day with 19.7 million yuan in daily revenue.
Romantic drama "My Love" ranked third, which gained about 17.4 million yuan on Friday. Enditem
