Ancient village evolves into ceramic culture destination
Nanhengkou village in North China’s Hebei province has made full use of its ancient kilns in recent years to develop into a unique tourist destination that combines sightseeing and cultural experience. The village in Jingxing county of Shijiazhuang city, renovated the historical architecture complex that can be dated back to the Ming and Qing dynasties on the principles of "protection comes before development", "restoring the old as the old" and "giving prominence to the uniqueness of the village". Gradually the historic village has evolved into a place featuring a rich ceramic culture, where visitors can not only enjoy the landscape but also experience ceramic production.[Photo/Xinhua]
