China International Import Expo, or CIIE, is the world’s first import-themed national-level expo. It not only offers a platform for global products to enter the Chinese market, but helps promote global free trade and further support the multilateral trading system.
This year, the third CIIE took place from Nov. 5 to Nov. 10 in east China’s Shanghai, setting a record of signed deals to outperform the past two events, reaching 72.62 billion U.S. dollars' worth of deals for intended one-year purchases of goods and services.
Serbian companies have attended CIIE for three consecutive years. The exhibition area of Serbian products this year covered 200 square meters, and 12 companies showcased their products there.
The expos were believed to help develop trade exchanges between China and Serbia. Serbia's participation helped promote the export of Serbian food products and increase the scale of trade.
